Interneting The Music

December 15th, 2011 | Posted in: Projects, Today | Created by: Pico Seno

We have published the new website of Irianti Erningpraja, the Indonesian prominent singer-songwriter few weeks ago along with the release of her latest album, Project Bebas. The website is rather a simple wordpress installation and none of today’s fancy web service tool were installed. However, she has a lot more to show than just her discography, so she asked me to learn more about what we can do with the web, as musician.

Definitely a challenge. So I started to learn from some links on my personal blog, the facebook page and so on. We even signed up to Project Bebas, a collaboration work supported by music community. I will share the works sometimes early next year in this blog.

NET Lately (March – April)

April 30th, 2008 | Posted in: Indonesian, Projects | Created by: Pico Seno

We did not post any update last month, but yes we do have updates.

On services, we proud to share about new annual contract signed by General Hotel Management (GHM) Bali Group for newsletter service. We only had very limited time before decision then the option for going CRM was not even mentioned. I believe they have already their CRM and having our service is part of it. We value the opportunities and trusts.

Another new client to welcome is PT Borneo Indobara. Still ongoing process, we are producing a company profile of this Sinar Mas subsidiary.

The Indonesian web 2.0 is still a future on making wealth but the tick to it is getting closer everyday, so we managed to involve in a web 2.0 kind of service project. Also involved in this project: Aria Rajasa from the Rajasa Web and Graphic Company , Harry from Digital Grafis and Muswardi from our side. We prepare to launch the first alpha by the end of May 2008. We think this service is critical for photography, advertising, design and media industry. Please leave your name and email on comment to get invited.

We still work our best for Dewi Lestari website. My apology for her fans that we can not release it yet. But we promise that you can enjoy the most of Dewi’s website next month just before she launch her new work “Rectoverso“. Should you have suggestion about the site, please leave comment on this post.

In case you in design related industry, you probably want to check out D-EyeView , a community portal for people who think design. Peter Yogan, co-founder of d-eyeview, believes that this community will help people understand the essential of design regardless what branch a designer is in. NET implemented a community portal for his idea. Now, d-eyeview has over 300 active members.

The NET infrastructure is getting better! NET and Globalport signed an strategic partnership agreement on complimentary services. Meaning we have tons bits of bandwidth to our servers locally and internationally, while they can bundle our our resources in their services.

This can be considered as review. Sadly, we aren’t satisfied with MWN hosting service. As I post this, the NET website is still hosted on an MWN server along with few client’s. We use their service since 2003, apparently they failed to put value in this relationship. I bet you hardly visit here and one of many reason could be, you don’t get a nice experience by visiting a slow web blog of NET. Even google hardly reach this site because low bandwidth and high server load. We will move shortly!

For other hosting service, I still hope that dreamhost always deliver the best to meet our requirement.

I guess that’s all in this two months. Tell me if I miss anything.

*Updates: I forgot this important update. We moved out from Graha MIK due to building ownership change. Now, we operate everything from Komplek Samudera Indonesia N0. 18, Pasar Minggu, however the official mailing address will remains and will last in the next three months. We are not rushing to get new office in the business district because we think the Pasar Minggu is sufficient for today daily operation.

Ultimate Learning Institute

It’s a venture of MIK and IBT in delivering modern English learning services. It mixed just a right combination of classroom and e-learning in order to deliver optimum learning experience for student. Yes, as it from IBT, they deliver English learning. In their words,

“ULI is a leading private education organisation providing industry-focused education and training programs through contemporary program content and state-of-the-art methods of delivery.”

Well, I just proud of what we deliver to support their presence on internet. Please visit their website, www.ulinstitute.com. Designed by Muswardi and everything else by Cecep, and I think of they strive toward best performance beautifully.

New Websites – September

October 2nd, 2007 | Posted in: Indonesian, Projects | Created by: Pico Seno

Last month we launched three websites silently. Just trying to interact with people more often on the internet. Those three generate small traffic in a month but adequate for starter: about 600 unique visitors, 15.500 pageviews.

Hopefully we can do a lot better this month. Those three are:

40sale 40sale.com

is a tool for budget shoping people who like to view all promotion programs before they set which direction to shop. The site also does favor for outlet/brand who wants to reach more on specified target.

We plan to boost more traffic especially to this 40sale, as it should be great referrences to users. We also invites outlets/brands to sign up for services and encourage them to do self-entry as often as they could. If this works, nobody ever lose great promo program again.

More to do on interfaces and engine, definitely. We do as it evolve.

indohype Indohype.com

Through this site we practicing content writing, seo, adsensing, and many more around web content publishing. All topics are Indonesian, also in Indonesia language. Last month top search keyword from google is Hilyani, the young who won Wajah Femina 2007.

lautku Cerita Laut

We love our country and all “waterever” surrounding its thousands lands. Yet there are very few information about Indonesian Maritime and Marine on internet. We just trying. Again, this site also be practicing content publishing place for us.

updates December 2006

December 1st, 2006 | Posted in: Business Development, NET's Portal, Production, Projects, Today | Created by: Pico Seno

My concern today:

10yearsfromnow.com
- finish the basic concept of 10yearsfromnow.com
- establish framework for operational-development
- establish business plan for 10yearsfromnow.com

ibudananak.com
- operation today! Need another program before 2.0
- build ibudananak 2.0 concept
- establish business plan for ibudananak.com

on project bases
- establish sales cycle and project management framework
- establish outsourcing model, resources database and build partnership
- establish sales force and customer relationship model
- establish standard legal and administrative works for projects
- establish NET generic platform for website service (product)

on financial and business strategy
- consolidate and RUPS
- business strategy creation: capitalize and form alliances
- establish NET business plan (projections)
- find alternative funds
- go low — cut off budget

on ongoing projects
- deliver and close fast –>> create deadline
- consolidate profit-loss for every project

on Bapeda
- leadership! Bayu promotion
- stay low but control

on others web 2.0 initiative
- create photo album service
- create a web-store service
- create a recipr.com (local and worldwide)
- create a discount info service

Thing that irritates me all the time is that our production seems can not produce such application until next two year. Because of these and that…
Project lah… ini lah… itu lah…

Here’s minor things that we should have done it better…

polling
–>>
there is no text field where user can fill whatever team not
listed in radio button, considering they are also legitimate world cup
team participants.

search box –>>
why the caption “search key” does not disappear when the pointer hit the text field.

search
box –>>
since the advance search is not so advance, I suggest to
rearrange the search facility to be applied more efficient. Place the
news-profile dropdown option before the text field then “go” (submit)
button.

info on referral sms –>>
i believe we could use
an eye catching banner or whatever info at homepage to invite user to
view referral sms program page (would be better if there’s any referral
program page).

browse profile –>>
it would be very nice if
the website provides the browse profiles facility. It would be a simple
query with some sorting and filtering tools. This facility will
intrigue user to browse, add photo and so on, then somehow lead them to
try referral program.

add/edit photo –>>
it took me few
minutes searched until found the add/edit photo hyperlink. It’s seem
nowhere and hidden. My suggestion, place it under photo placeholder
will be the best for user to find.

photo size –>>
why does it only limited for 6kb and under? We do have huge free space and bandwidth, don’t we?

login –>>
it would be nice if there’s help for login

That’s all for now… thanks…

may-june-july will be the most busisest time for NET. We engaged opportunities and still we look for more to be closed. The minimum resources of NET indeed is the major issue. We try to manage it somehow with the smart outsourcing and recruit. Yes, we still look for the result.

these are things we work on:

  • coca-cola sms promo
  • balbalan.com
  • netplus website
  • ADA band sms quiz
  • Akira, Phillips, Samsung SMS Promo
  • Suara Pembaruan – World Cup Comment
  • Bappeda SIPP

and more from the old days:

  • AAJI website
  • Voith Paper SPMS
  • MIK company profile
  • ibudananak.com
  • contentsmagazine-online.com

hmm… and how many crew onboard? only 7 of us and will be 9 next month. May God Bless Us
